The Burnt Raven
Ravena, the Besom-Bound Seer
Ravena, the Besom-Bound Seer
One-of-a-Kind Samhain Corn Husk Witch | The Burnt Raven
“Where the veil grows thin and the last harvest falls, the Besom-Bound Seer waits between worlds.”
Born of crimson husks, shadow, and the old magic of the harvest, Ravena, the Besom-Bound Seer is a one-of-a-kind Samhain witch, handcrafted to honor the thinning veil, ancestral wisdom, and the mysteries that lie beyond our sight.
Standing approximately 22 inches tall, Ravena is unlike any witch I’ve created before. Her entire form is fashioned around a traditional besom, its dark broom bristles becoming the foundation of her flowing skirts. In folk magic, the besom has long been associated with cleansing, protection, and the sweeping away of unwanted energies. Ravena embodies that symbolism, standing as a keeper of thresholds and a guardian between what was and what is yet to come.
Her garments are fashioned from richly dyed wine-crimson and black corn husks, layered with intricate black lace and flowing textures. Her hair features carefully worked braids, each one adding to her old-world appearance.
Cradled in her hands is a large, handmade crimson corn husk flower. At its heart rests an obsidian scrying mirror, symbolizing divination, hidden truths, and the mysteries beyond the veil.
Obsidian also adorns her necklace and the moon upon her pointed witch’s hat, tying together her connection to protection, intuition, and the unseen. Her hat is finished with dark, earthy embellishments and striking crimson accents.
The Magic of Ravena
Ravena was created with Samhain in mind, a season of remembrance, reflection, and honoring those who came before us.
Her besom represents the clearing of old paths and the protection of sacred spaces. Her crimson flower symbolizes the final beauty of the harvest, while its obsidian heart invites us to look inward and seek wisdom in the darkness.
She is a representation of the witch standing at the crossroads of seasons, holding space for endings, beginnings, and everything that exists between.

A Note From the Maker
Ravena has been a labor of love, with countless hours spent bringing every little detail together. From her carefully fashioned braids to the layers of her broom-bound skirts, she represents the kind of intricate, slow-made folk art I love creating.
She is entirely handmade by me, and there will never be another exactly like her.
Once Ravena finds her home, she is gone forever.
Care & Display
Ravena is a delicate piece of handcrafted folk art intended for indoor decorative use. Keep her away from moisture, open flames, excessive handling, and prolonged direct sunlight. Natural corn husks may develop slight changes in texture over time, which are part of the character of this organic material.
Please note: Ravena is a decorative spiritual art piece, not a toy. Her symbolic and magical associations are rooted in folklore and personal practice.
