Hand rolled and dipped at The Burnt Raven, these red-and-black double-ended candles are created for return-to-sender workings, reinforcing boundaries, and sending unwanted energy back to its source.

Each candle is made from 100% beeswax with finely ground ingredients, including black pepper, agrimony, cinnamon, black salt, dragon’s blood, and cloves. The herbs are finely ground to reduce large pieces that can feed high flames, though added botanicals can still affect how a candle burns.

Working With Your Candle

To burn both ends, you’ll need a suitable holder that securely supports the candle horizontally while keeping both flames clear of the support and surrounding objects.

You might write what you wish to return on a petition and place it beneath the heat-safe dish. Keep paper away from flames and hot wax. A purpose-built spiked candle holder may be an option if it is designed to securely support this burning position.

Fire Safety

Burn within sight on a stable, heat-safe surface, with a dish large enough to catch wax from both ends. Use a secure holder suitable for horizontal burning; do not rely on loose needles or improvised supports. Keep petitions, herbs, and other flammable materials away from both flames. Never leave unattended or hold while lit. Keep away from children, pets, and drafts. Extinguish if either flame becomes unusually high or the candle shifts, softens, or becomes unstable.
