The Three of Swords Scrying Mirror is inspired by one of tarot’s most recognizable cards. The Three of Swords is often read as heartbreak, grief, and painful truth—but some of the deepest wisdom we carry is learned through what broke us.

So I turned that lesson into a scrying mirror: three amethyst swords suspended above black glass, a reminder that even heartbreak can sharpen intuition, reveal truth, and leave us wiser than before.

Sometimes the wound becomes the teacher.

At the center of the piece sits a 6” black scrying mirror, surrounded by rich purple preserved moss and florals. Amethyst clusters and crystal formations are worked throughout the frame, with illuminated amethyst crystals casting a soft, eerie glow across the piece when the lights are switched on.

Above the mirror sit the focal point of the design—three carved amethyst swords, creating a dimensional interpretation of the traditional Three of Swords imagery while replacing the pierced heart with the dark reflective surface of the scrying mirror itself. Rather than simply representing sorrow, this piece is meant to embody what can come after it: reflection, clarity, intuition, hard-earned knowledge, and transformation.

Amethyst has long been associated with intuition, spiritual awareness, clarity, protection, and divination, making it a natural stone for a piece centered around looking inward and finding meaning in difficult experiences.
