The Hanged One — Hand-Painted Tarot Card Box (Original Design)

Step into a moment of suspension and transformation with The Hanged One, an original tarot-inspired keepsake box featuring my own hand-designed card artwork—wood burned and hand painted directly onto the lid. This piece is rich with texture and moody, celestial detail, made to feel like a little altar in a box.

The front is finished with feather motifs burned into the wood, while the sides are painted a deep matte black with gold distressing for an aged, ritual-worn look. Each corner is set with a glossy onyx cabochon—four protective stones anchoring the design like silent sentries.

Open the lid to reveal a lush interior: the box is lined in green velvet fabric patterned with gold celestial designs, soft and luminous against the darkness. The inside of the lid is a statement of its own—resin-filled and featuring a large skull butterfly labradorite stone with pressed flowers, creating a preserved, otherworldly window of shimmer and shadow.
